Our Mission
The Honey Creek Fire Department is committed to providing the highest level of public safety services to our community. We protect lives and property through fire suppression, emergency medical and pre-hospital services, hazardous material response, disaster services, non-emergency call for service, technical rescue, fire prevention, Investigation and public education.
1973
Honey Creek Fire Department was founded in August of 1973.
1974
On January 1, 1974, Honey Creek Fire Department opened its door to serve the community. A group of 35 volunteers built the first station, Station 91. The station was funded on donations alone.
1978
Honey Creek Fire Department founded its second fire station in 1978 where the department rented a building to house 2 trucks and provide quarters for volunteers to stay.
1982
Honey Creek Fire Department's classic bright red firetrucks were painted to the iconic safety green we see today.
1985
The second fire station, station 92, moved from the rented building to a new station on Springhill.
1985
Career staff were hired by the department in 1985, allowing both paid and volunteer opportunities.
